DEFINITION OF CHARGEABLE WEIGHT

The Chargeable Weight, serving as the basis for the Service's cost calculation, represents the greater value between the Gross Weight and the Volumetric Weight of your consignment. A minimum Chargeable Weight of 10 kilograms (kg) applies to any consignment.

The 'Gross Weight' is the physical weight of your consignment when placed on a scale.

The 'Volumetric Weight' is a theoretical weight derived from the dimensions of your consignment, calculated as (Width x Length x Height in centimetres) / 5000 = Volumetric Weight in kg.

Please be advised that for pickup services, each box must not exceed 30 kg in weight, and no side of the box may exceed 80 cm in length. Failure to comply with these requirements will result in a surcharge of £60 per box for either overweight or oversized dimensions.

KYC DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

As per Indian customs regulations, 'Know Your Customer' (KYC) identification is required from the Receiver. Acceptable forms of identification include an Aadhar Card. When sending from UK, we shall need Aadhar Card copy ( Front and Back – unmasked) of the Receiver and when sending from India, we shall need the Aadhar Card copy ( Front and Back – unmasked) of the Sender.

PACKING LIST DETAILS

A precise packing list is required for each box in the shipment. Any discrepancy between declared and actual contents may lead to penalties by customs. The Shipper holds full responsibility for these penalties if they occur due to inaccurate packing lists.

BANNED ITEMS

The Service adheres to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) prohibited items list. For additional details, refer to the Prohibited Items List.

SHIPMENT INSPECTIONS

Please note that all shipments, barring documents, are subjected to a 100% inspection by both the Company and Indian customs.

THIRD-PARTY COMPANY SERVICE TERMS

All express service shipments are governed by the respective Airline Company's terms and conditions. Similarly, the Local Pick-Up Courier Company's terms apply to pickup and delivery services. The quoted prices from the Company refer to third-party pickup companies who solely collect boxes.

DECLARATION LIABILITY

The Shipper is responsible for any penalties resulting from incorrect or misleading declarations about the consignment contents. This includes the preparation of the packing list if it is prepared by the Shipper. Euro Logistics World Ltd (ELW) offers a service to prepare a detailed packing list for a fee of £15 per box if the Shipper does not have the time or prefers not to prepare the list.

CUSTOMS DUTIES

Customs duty on household or personal effect items like clothes, books, shoes, jackets, etc., is included within the Service, provided these items are not sent in commercial quantities.

DELIVERY TIMELINES

Delivery times vary between 10 to 14 working days for major Indian cities to 21 working days for remote locations ( Additional 2 days for collections from Northern Ireland/Scotland/Wales). Factors such as weather conditions, customs clearance, flight schedules, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect these timelines. Transit time starts from the next working day of us receiving the payment.

INSURANCE

There is no compensation and there are no guarantees against damage or breakage during transit. Please acquire separate insurance if required. Maximum liability per box/suitcase of shipment is $50.

PARCEL ACCEPTANCE

Upon receipt and acknowledgment by the Receiver, the Company holds no responsibility for subsequent claims. Make sure to take a video and pictures of the package at the time of delivery. The signed receipt by the consignee signifies prima facie evidence of the cargo's good condition and in accordance with the carriage contract.

PRICING POLICY

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. As a cargo company, the Company's liability is limited to US $50 per box per shipment.

COMMERCIAL SHIPMENTS

This Service is not intended for commercial use. There would separate charges for Commercial shipments for which you can check with us.

PARCEL COLLECTION

Ensure your parcel is prepared with clear labelling including the Shipper's name and mobile number details. Please make all payments directly to Euro Logistics World Ltd ( ELW) through the provided bank details. Cash payments are not accepted. Any cancellation post pick-up incurs a £50 charge. Please note that a deposit of £50 will be required before collection.

Please note that all domestic collections in the UK will only be made from the ground floor of any type of property. The Company does not provide an uplift service from any other floor unless an elevator is available and operational. It is the Shipper's responsibility to ensure that all consignments are readily available on the ground floor at the time of collection.

Please note that if you schedule a pick-up/collection and there are no goods to collect, or the goods are not available at the specified time or location, a "Nothing to Collect" surcharge of £10 will be applied for every attempt.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED ITEMS

Batteries and battery-powered products, oils, sprays, perfumes, flammable items, and liquids are strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule leads to removal of the item(s) and a £300 penalty for their return. Also, refer to Point 19 & 24 for an exhaustive list of items.

COLLECTION PREPARATION

Follow the instructions provided in the email sent prior to our driver's or third-party driver's arrival for collection.

MISSED COLLECTION LIABILITY

The Company is not responsible for missed collections due to inadequate labelling, non-functional doorbells, unavailability of people at the collection address, or unavoidable circumstances.

JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by England's laws, with any disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

DANGEROUS, PROHIBITED, AND RESTRICTED GOODS

Certain items classified as hazardous, dangerous, prohibited or restricted by bodies such as the IATA, International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), and European Road Transport Regulation on dangerous goods (ADR) are forbidden due to potential risks during transport.

The Prohibited Items List details these items and includes categories such as aerosols & gases, explosive materials, animal & plant products, medicines & foods, items of exceptional value, flammable goods, corrosive substances, toxic & infectious substances, and miscellaneous dangerous goods.

The Shipper is responsible for ensuring the compliance of the shipment contents with these restrictions. Non-compliance will result in removal of the items and imposition of a £300 penalty for their return.

Certain items are classified as hazardous material, dangerous goods, prohibited or restricted by various governing bodies including the International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and European Road Transport Regulation on dangerous goods (ADR). Despite appearing harmless in everyday use, these items can pose a risk during air or road transport and are therefore forbidden.

Should prohibited items be found in a parcel, they will be removed without prior notice, and a £300 penalty will be imposed if the customer wishes for their return. The Sender assumes all liability for ensuring that the contents of their shipments comply with these restrictions.

REDELIVERY OF GOODS

If, for any reason, the Shipper requests the redelivery of goods after pick-up has occurred, a redelivery fee will be applicable. The exact amount of this fee will be provided upon request at the time of arranging the pick-up from the door in the UK.

AUTHORIZATION LETTER FOR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

An authorization letter permitting the clearance of goods through customs is required from the Receiver. This letter must be signed by the Receiver and returned to the Company for the completion of customs procedures.

FINAL INVOICE AND PAYMENT TERMS

Once the shipment has arrived at the ELW depot in the UK after pick-up, it will be reweighed, and a final invoice will be generated and sent to the Shipper. The payment for this final invoice must be made within 24 hours of receiving the invoice. Failure to make the payment within this period will result in storage charges of £8.50 plus VAT per shipment per day. This model is strictly Cash and Carry and there is NO credit period available.

LIABILITY FOR LOST GOODS DUE TO MISLABELLING

In the event that the goods are lost in transit due to incorrect or insufficient labelling by the Shipper after pick-up in the UK, the responsibility for the loss lies solely with the Shipper. No claims can be made against Euro Logistics World Ltd ( ELW) or its pickup partners in the UK for losses resulting from such circumstances.
